Excited by the prospect of four cute Japanese girls with their asses stacked on each other from the trailer, I had very high expectations going into this movie. Short skirts, school uniforms and panties are about as ubiquitous in JAV as calories in a McDonald’s menu, and when combined with some of the most adorable up-and-coming stars right now, it’s hard to go wrong… or so I thought. MMUS-025 is four whole hours long, meaning that even though it lived up my expectations at some points of that ridiculous runtime, for the most part when I was viewing it, I couldn’t help but feel disappointed by the prioritisation of quantity over quality.

The cover prominently features the four starring actresses, yet there is only one 45-minute long scene where they’re all together – not even a quarter of the whole movie. To give a quick breakdown, there are two FFM threesome scenes, four one-on-one scenes and one foursome scene. Although it’s not surprising that this is different from the impression of non-stop group action given from the cover/preview and I’ve been misled by covers and previews many times before, it feels deceptive nonetheless.

As for the girls themselves, they’re all fairly attractive and of a generally high standards in terms of looks and acting skills, with Aoi Kururgi in particular being a personal favourite of mine. There is a diverse range of sexual play, including footjobs (the first FFM scene with Aoi), handjobs (the FFM nurse scene) and assjobs (in the foursome scene) in addition to your more standard mix of blowjobs and straight sex. Aoi’s scene with Shuri Atomi, as well as the final scene with all four girls are standouts. There’s very little to no connection between scenes and costumes at all, as the theme of the JAV is basically just straight-up prostitution with girls who show you their panties, so don’t expect it to be very thematically cohesive. On the other hand, there is a lot of variety in terms of girls, costumes, sexual acts and so on, and the girls have very good chemistry when performing together.

The costumes fit the general theme quite well, with a good variety of maid and nurse uniforms, skimpy jeans shorts, schoolgirl skirts and, of course, panties. However, the actual setting/background of the scenes leaves a bit to be desired – the first and last scenes look like they’re shot in an abandoned warehouse, which just feels a bit dodgy and amateurish. The other scenes are mostly in normal bedrooms – quite different from the “bar” that the title would suggest but still fine for the most part. POV, used in a couple of scenes, is used effectively to enhance the experience, especially in the group scenes so that it’s easier to imagine that it’s your dick getting sucked and rubbed, your nipples getting licked, and so on.

Overall, the film is solid, even if it didn’t quite live up to my (perhaps unreasonably high) expectations. The group scenes are very, very good, and the other scenes are still decent even if intended as filler. As with most JAV, it would’ve benefited from being a bit shorter, but I still found that it mostly lived up to its fantastic premise of lining up and fucking the soft, shapely asses of cute Japanese girls in skimpy skirts.
